Custom Courses work exactly like the standard courses — the same daily goals, spaced-repetition system, and review flow — but with one key difference: you create the content yourself.This feature is perfect for students who want to personalize their study and focus on the words, expressions, or grammar points that matter most to them.

Create Your Own Study Modules

Let’s say you’re reading a book and come across a new word, idiom, or grammatical construction you want to remember.With Custom Courses, you can capture it instantly and turn it into a study card you’ll actually review and master.

Start by creating a new custom module — just enter a title and short description to keep things organized.

It’s up to you how you want to organize your custom courses. You can make as many as you want for each language. So if you are a student, maybe you want to make one for each semester. Or if you read a lot, you can make a course for vocab from each book you read.

Once created, the module appears under your Courses tab alongside your other courses.You’ll need at least two cards before you can begin studying, but adding them is easy — either from within the module page itself or directly from other features throughout the app.

Add Cards from Anywhere

The true power of Custom Courses is how seamlessly it integrates with the rest of Lingua Fortis.Whenever you find something you want to remember, whether it’s a new phrase in Rapid Sentence Exposure, an inflection in the Data Center, or a translation in the High-Context Translator, simply tap the “Add to Course”button, choose your custom module, and it’s saved instantly.

Your custom cards behave exactly like any other in the standard courses: they appear in your daily queue, follow the same spaced-repetition schedule, and include the same interactive review modes — typing, handwriting, audio, and more.

Card structure

Just like the cards in the standard courses, the cards that you add to your custom courses must contain the key word/phrase that you are trying to learn, as well as a sentence for context.
